See how a chosen price and discount affect profit and margin in the included Example tab.
Read the example
A fictional ceramic mug has a unit cost of 14.45 including its fixed fee. With a 10% selling fee and 25% target margin, its target price is 22.24. A chosen price of 24.00 with 10% off becomes 21.60, leaving 4.99 profit and a 23.1% margin. The workbook marks it Below target.
The example uses one currency throughout. Your results depend on the costs and fees you enter.
Who this is for
For makers and small sellers who want to include per-item costs and selling fees before setting a price.
How it works
Enter per-item materials, labor, overhead and fixed fees, plus your percentage selling fee and target margin. Read the target and break-even prices. Enter your chosen price and discount to see profit, actual margin and whether it meets your target.
